In a report by ‘People’s Daily ‘ Atiku’s office claim that these allegations are an attempt to divert attention from allegations of forgeries against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to Atiku’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, Atiku’s name change from Siddiq Abubakar to Atiku Abubakar in 1973 is well-documented through a 1973 affidavit, while Tinubu has a history of forgeries and lies throughout his life, including his education and certificates. Tinubu’s records at Chicago State University and a court-ordered deposition in the United States revealed discrepancies in his educational qualifications.
Atiku’s Media Office accused Tinubu of attempting to involve Atiku in forgery issues to downplay his own alleged forgeries. They also highlighted that Atiku’s names have a clear familial lineage, while Tinubu’s name appears to have emerged in the late 1970s with little known history or social connections prior to that time.
