Efe Ajagba, Nigeria’s esteemed heavyweight boxer, maintained his hold on the WBC Silver Heavyweight Title with an impressive victory over Australian opponent Joe Goodall in the fourth round via TKO.
This victory elevated Ajagba’s professional record to 19 wins, including 14 by knockout.
The bout took place on Sunday morning, November 5, in Lake Tahoe’s newly inaugurated Tahoe Blue Event Centre, marking Efe’s second-ever headlining event and his third consecutive win this year.
While Joe Goodall, who had previously defeated Ajagba in amateur competition, entered the ring with confidence, Efe Ajagba swiftly asserted his dominance with a combination of precise jabs and powerful punches right from the opening round.
Although Goodall displayed resilience and determination, the referee, Tony Weeks, was compelled to halt the match early to protect him from further damage.
This significant victory now positions Ajagba as a potential challenger for the WBC champion, Tyson Fury. Currently ranked 7th by the WBC, the Delta-born fighter is on a trajectory that could lead to a title shot against the formidable Fury.
