In an announcement on Monday, the embassy revealed its plan to simplify travel to China for Kenyans.
According to reports by the Star, starting November 20, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Kenya will eliminate visa appointments, promoting smoother exchanges between the two nations.
To apply for a Chinese visa, Kenyans can directly submit their applications to the Visa Application Service Centre in Nairobi during working hours.
Despite these changes, processing times and fees will remain unchanged.
This development follows President Ruto’s recent successful trip to China, where significant partnerships were forged during the celebration of six decades of formal diplomatic ties between Kenya and China.
The leaders, President Ruto and Chinese President Xi Jinping, affirmed the fruitful cooperation and expressed their commitment to strengthening the strategic working relationship.
