Former Warriors and Dynamos goalkeeper George Chigova passed away yesterday due to a heart attack, leaving the football community in shock.
His death follows Warriors legend Rahman Gumbo’s similar fate just a week ago.
Chigova, aged 32, diagnosed with a heart condition earlier this year, had been inactive in the season.
The South Africa-based player, who had previously played for SuperSport United, tragically left behind a wife and two children.
SuperSport United confirmed the sad news, praising Chigova’s contribution to the club and extending condolences.
The Zimbabwe Football Association and former teammates also expressed grief, remembering Chigova’s significant role in Zimbabwean football.
