Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), inaugurated a state-of-the-art maternity center in Ekiti state.
The facility, equipped with modern medical technology, was constructed by the RCCG Life Fountain Cathedral in Ado-Ekiti.
During the commissioning, Adeboye, represented by Pastor Funsho Odesola, praised the church’s leadership for investing in the facility, expressing confidence that it would provide solutions to maternal and other health challenges for both members and the wider community.
Pastor Esther Abdullahi, the wife of the Regional Pastor, emphasized the church’s commitment to members’ health needs, particularly pregnant women.
She highlighted the vision of the RCCG to establish maternity centers in all their churches, aiming to prevent maternal deaths by offering quality services with trained professionals.
Mrs. Peju Babafemi, the state’s Commissioner for Women’s Affairs, commended the church’s initiative, recognizing its positive impact on members and the broader community.
She acknowledged the potential of the maternity center to provide pregnant women with access to high-quality maternity services, aligning with the state’s goal to reduce maternal mortality.
