Grammy-nominated artist David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has received recognition from Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens for his impactful contributions to the city’s entertainment scene.
Following Davido’s headline A.W.A.Y Festival at the State Farm Arena, November 18 has been officially declared “Davido Day” by the Mayor and Atlanta City Council.
The Mayor praised Davido for his global influence in the music industry and acknowledged his multifaceted role as a singer, songwriter, producer, business leader, philanthropist, and community advocate.
The Atlanta City Council expressed gratitude, proclaiming November 18, 2023, as Davido Day in the City of Atlanta.
