During his weekly press briefing at New York City Hall, Mayor Eric Adams contested accusations of sexual assault dating back 30 years.
He strongly refuted the allegations outlined in the filed complaint, including charges of sexual assault, battery, employment discrimination, retaliation, a hostile work environment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Mayor Adams emphasized his lack of familiarity with the plaintiff and asserted his commitment to never causing physical harm, stating, “I will never do anything to harm anyone. That has never happened.”
The civil lawsuit, seeking a minimum of $5 million in relief, was submitted under the New York Adult Survivors Act, which allows a one-year window for such claims.
