Sani Yakubu Noma, a lawmaker representing Argungu/Augie Federal Constituency in Kebbi State, has committed to organizing marriages for 100 orphaned girls in the region.
This pledge was revealed during a press interaction in his hometown in the Argungu area, Northwest Nigeria.
Noma emphasized that this initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to support the well-being of orphans within his constituency.
The wedding ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Palace of the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, on Saturday, Nov. 25.
Noma mentioned, “A committee has been established to ensure the successful execution of the event, and the prospective brides have been selected from the two local government areas I represent in the National Assembly.”
He also stated, “I have already procured beds, mattresses, essential furniture, and other matrimonial items for the beneficiaries.”
