NNPCL has revealed two significant gas agreements at COP28, comprising a floating liquefied natural gas deal and a small-scale LNG deal, catering to domestic and international markets.
The deals involve a 421-tonnes-per-day small-scale LNG project in Ajaokuta and a memorandum of understanding for a floating LNG project, with additional details pending.
In other gas developments, NNPC Limited reports the upcoming inauguration of the $2.8bn Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano gas pipeline project by Oilserve Limited.
Oritsemiyiwa Eyesan, NNPC Limited’s Executive Vice President, Upstream, highlighted the commitment to the project during the Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists 2023 expo, emphasizing the company’s dedication to Nigeria’s Gas Master Plan.
The AKK gas pipeline, a 614km project, is set to be commissioned this December, contributing to increased investments in the oil and gas sector.
The pipeline aims to transport natural gas from southern Nigeria to central Nigeria.
