Brandi Mallory, the beloved reality star featured on a 2014 episode of ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss,” was discovered deceased on November 9.
The cause of her death, as per an autopsy report from the Fulton County Medical Examiner, was complications related to obesity, considered a significant contributing factor.
The report categorized her death as “natural,” ruling out foul play.
While trace amounts of marijuana and alcohol were found in her system, they were not linked to her demise.
The report also highlighted an enlarged heart and elevated blood indicators suggestive of prediabetes as potential contributing factors.
Mallory, who gained fame through her weight loss journey on the show, passed away at 40 years old.
Surveillance footage revealed her last moments at a Chipotle restaurant in Stone Mountain, Georgia, on November 8, the day before her death.
Despite efforts to revive her, she did not leave her vehicle after returning from the restaurant.
Fans remember Mallory for her transformative journey on “Extreme Weight Loss,” where she worked with host and trainer Chris Powell to shed pounds and embraced a fitness lifestyle, including completing a Half Ironman and expressing her passion for dance.
