White House spokesman Ian Sams called it a waste of time, citing a Fox News clip stating the GOP’s intention to “put a GOP win on the table for the base.”
Sams accused House Republicans of attempting to distract from their governance failures, emphasizing their focus on Marjorie Taylor Greene’s conflict within the party.
The White House aims to link the inquiry to far-right members, portraying Biden as addressing real challenges while labeling GOP actions as “stupid stunts.”
The resolution, released by House Republicans, faces a full House vote next week, seeking to strengthen the legal weight behind the inquiry.
The GOP alleges suspicious financial deals involving foreign interests and Biden’s family.
