On Tuesday, President Joe Biden assured President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United States will stand by Ukraine in its struggle against Russia.
Despite Republican resistance to prolonging US war funding, Biden, during a White House press conference with Zelensky, emphasized a commitment to Ukraine, stating, “I will not walk away from Ukraine, and neither will the American people.”
He stressed the importance of preventing a Ukrainian defeat, as it could embolden Russian President Vladimir Putin and potential aggressors worldwide.
