The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has ordered a freeze on the accounts of the 18 local government areas and 33 local council development areas (LCDAs).
He also instructed the newly created LCDA not to open new accounts.
In a letter to the local councils, he directed the suspension of all spending and expenditure from local government accounts, emphasizing no signing of cheques, change of signatories, or any withdrawals until further notice.
