Several states are facing a spinach recall following a positive listeria test, with Fresh Express and Publix issuing voluntary recalls for specific spinach products.
The affected areas include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Despite the recall, as of December 15, no illnesses have been reported, and no other Fresh Express products are affected.
Consumers are urged to discard the recalled products, and health risks associated with Listeria monocytogenes are highlighted by the FDA.
