A prominent and wealthy politician from the ruling party United Russia, Egorov was found dead in the yard of his oil-rich Tobolsk residence in western Siberia.
Initial reports suggest no visible signs of criminality, with pathologists set to examine the cause of death.
Some sources propose heart problems as a likely reason, a common explanation in Russia for untimely or suspicious deaths among influential figures.
Notably, the connection between heart issues and falling around 30ft from a third-floor window remains unclear.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his fall, while Egorov, a trained lawyer with prior legal and business involvement, had previously faced a corruption scandal in 2016, leading to his departure from the city administration.
Despite the scandal, he returned to politics and held the position of the wealthiest local deputy in Tobolsk.
Egorov is survived by his wife and two children.
