“Walmart’s exclusive ‘Relax’ magnetic balls, touted as stress relievers and building blocks, are under recall by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
These small but powerful magnets, available online at Walmart, have been linked to seven deaths and numerous hospitalizations, violating safety regulations.
Sold from February 2022 to April 2023, the recall affects 216 multicolored balls, priced at $14 to $15.
The safety commission highlights over 4,200 affected units, estimating 2,400 magnet ingestions treated in hospitals from 2017 to 2021, prompting urgent cessation of use by consumers.”
