The Senate has called upon security chiefs to provide a briefing regarding the Christmas eve attacks in Plateau State, resulting in the tragic loss of over 100 lives.
Those summoned include the National Security Adviser, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Director-General of the Department of State Services, Inspector-General of Police, and DG of Nigeria Intelligence Agency.
The Senate, led by Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio, passed this resolution during a session held in Abuja on Saturday.
A closed session for the security chiefs to meet with the Senate will be scheduled at a later date.
