Reportedly, President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned the release of N12 billion to settle outstanding payments for Nigeria’s national teams, including the Super Eagles.
This covers 15 months’ unpaid salary for Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro and addresses allowances and commitments owed to other national teams such as Super Falcons and the U-20 team.
The approval coincides with the Super Eagles’ preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to commence later this month.
