Aliko Dangote has regained the title of the richest person in Africa on the Forbes Real-Time Billionaires list.
This accomplishment comes just a week after Johann Rupert, a South African business magnate, briefly surpassed Dangote’s position.
As of January 8, Dangote’s net worth rose by $10 million to $10.1 billion, while Rupert’s net worth declined from $10.7 billion to $10 billion by January 30, 2023.
In the global rankings, Rupert holds the 197th position, whereas Dangote, the chairman of the Dangote Group, is ranked 191st.
