A flight from Tokyo to the United States had to turn back when a drunk passenger bit an attendant.
Additionally, on Jan. 2, a Japan Airlines plane caught fire at Haneda International Airport after colliding with a coast guard jet.
Fortunately, all 379 passengers escaped, but 17 were injured, and five Coast Guard crew members lost their lives.
In a separate incident last week, an ANA flight made an emergency landing in Japan due to a cracked cockpit window on the Boeing 737-800.
