Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have been handed a 14-year sentence with ‘rigorous punishment’ in the Toshakhana case, as reported by Pakistan’s Geo News.
This follows another 10-year prison sentence for Khan just a day prior, related to leaking state secrets, and comes eight days before the scheduled national elections.
The couple has also been disqualified from holding any public office for 10 years and faces a fine of $2.81 million.
While Imran Khan is already in prison, visuals on social media depict Bushra Bibi reaching Adiala Jail for arrest.
