During a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja, Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank, reiterated this dedication and highlighted ongoing support for President Tinubu’s reform initiatives.
Bjerde expressed confidence in the collaborative trajectory, hinting at the expansion of existing programs and an increase in financial support.
Additionally, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, emphasized Nigeria’s role in hosting a regional summit focusing on developmental priorities and the need for augmented concessional financing in West and Central Africa.
Edun highlighted discussions aimed at advocating increased resource allocation to vital sectors for socio-economic advancement and poverty alleviation in the region.
