The Federal Government has pledged to address the concerns raised by Nigerian nurses regarding the new conditions for certificate verification.
Nurses protested the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives’ (NMCN) guidelines, prompting a response from Special Adviser to the President on Health Matters, Salma Anas-Ibrahim.
She emphasized the vital role of nurses in healthcare and assured efforts to improve working conditions and resolve conflicts across healthcare professions, expressing the commitment to retain nurses and midwives.
The nurses demonstrated in Abuja and Lagos against the recent circular requiring two years of experience for foreign board certificate verification, accompanied by a non-refundable fee.
