Police Chief Stacey Graves condemned the actions of a few bad actors, and the Fire Department reported one fatality, five in critical condition, three seriously hurt, and additional injuries.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and teammate Drue Tranquill shared messages of support, while officials urged people to leave the area for the treatment of victims.
The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
