Jeremiah Kpan Koung, the Vice President of Liberia, arrived in Yenogoa on Tuesday to attend the second-term inauguration of Senator Douye Diri as Governor.
Governor Diri, accompanied by Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and other officials, welcomed Vice President Kpan Koung at the Bayelsa International Airport.
The Liberian Vice President will witness the swearing-in ceremony for Governor Douye Diri and Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for their second term.
Governor Diri expressed gratitude to Vice President Kpan Koung for accepting the invitation, highlighting the emerging relationship between Liberia and Bayelsa, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
In response, Kpan Koung thanked the governor for his hospitality, expressing pleasure in being in Bayelsa State.
He emphasized that his visit aims to strengthen the unity between the state, Liberia, and, by extension, the federal government of Nigeria.
