A mysterious fire engulfed a single-story property at 36 Awolowo Way, near the Under Bridge, Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, causing damage to items worth millions of nairas.
This incident occurred less than 12 hours after a petrol truck exploded in the state’s Iju-Ishaga area on Tuesday night.
The fire at 36 Awolowo Way happened around 9:45 am on Wednesday, with no reported casualties.
Witnesses observed affected traders trying to salvage their belongings.
Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed the event, stating that the situation is now under control.
The fire, originating from the ground floor of a commercial one-story building used as a store in Computer Village, was contained to that floor, preventing it from spreading to the upper floor and nearby structures within the vicinity of the smoke-logged environment.
