The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) declared the removal of economic sanctions imposed on Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, and Mali during an extraordinary summit on February 24 in Abuja.
The summit, dedicated to addressing political, security, and peace conditions, maintained political and targeted sanctions despite lifting economic measures.
