Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has received a four-year ban from football due to doping, as confirmed by Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal (Nado).
The ban stems from Pogba testing positive for the banned substance DHEA in August after a Serie A match against Udinese.
Pogba, now facing suspension until 2027, expressed disbelief on Instagram, vowing to appeal the decision before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
This setback adds uncertainty to the future of the 2018 World Cup winner, who returned to Juventus in 2022 after leaving Manchester United.
Pogba’s season has been marred by injuries and alleged involvement in a blackmail plot by his brother and friends. Juventus is yet to comment on the ban.
