Thomas Kingston, Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband, was discovered lifeless at his parents’ Cotswold home, with a coroner citing a “catastrophic head injury” and the presence of a nearby gun.
The senior coroner for Gloucestershire, Katy Skerrett, shared that Kingston had lunch with his parents before his body was found in an outbuilding.
The provisional cause of death was a “traumatic wound to the head.” Kingston, previously a hostage negotiator in Iraq, had a varied career, including work in finance.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and authorities have ruled out any suspicion.
The Kingston family is receiving support from Buckingham Palace.
