On Monday, Aliko Dangote, the wealthiest black man globally and Nigerian billionaire, renamed the road leading to the Dangote Oil Refinery in Lagos State after the late CEO of Access Holdings, Dr Herbert Wigwe.
Aliko announced this gesture during his speech at Herbert Wigwe’s funeral rites, honoring him and his family.
The Dangote Refinery, recognized as the world’s largest single-train refinery, commenced operations in January, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s quest for fuel self-sufficiency.
The refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, is expected to play a pivotal role in reducing Nigeria’s dependence on fuel imports and bolstering its economy.
