At 01:15, an American Airlines Boeing 777 had to perform an emergency landing at LAX on Wednesday due to a suspected mechanical issue.
The flight, originating from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and headed west, touched down on Runway 25 around 8:45 p.m.
Prior to landing, the pilot reported a possible mechanical problem, though the specific issue remains unclear despite initial reports mentioning a blown tire.
As the plane taxied to a gate, observed by SkyCal, a boarding bridge was connected for passengers to disembark. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
This incident follows closely after a similar emergency landing involving a United Airlines Boeing 777 from San Francisco International Airport and another incident involving an SFO departure with hydraulic system problems, both at LAX.
