Harris emphasized the Biden administration’s aid efforts for Puerto Rico during her trip, which coincided with Democrats’ efforts to engage Latino voters for the upcoming general election.
However, not everyone welcomed her presence, as some protesters voiced discontent over the administration’s response to conflicts in Gaza and Haiti.
