Former President Donald Trump, while seeking funds for his campaign and legal expenses, has initiated the sale of a unique product: a Bible.
Through a video posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump urged people to “Make America Pray Again” during Holy Week, endorsing the “God Bless The USA Bible” priced at $59.99.
Partnering with musician Lee Greenwood, known for the anthem “God Bless The USA,” the Bible includes patriotic elements such as the U.S.
Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, along with a handwritten chorus to the anthem.
Despite claims that the product is apolitical, questions arise regarding Trump’s financial gain from its sales.
The move stirred criticism from opponents, with groups like the Lincoln Project and Republican Voters Against Trump denouncing it as opportunistic.
This initiative also resurrects memories of Trump’s controversial photo-op with a Bible during his presidency, drawing further backlash.
Trump’s recent sales endeavor coincides with his ongoing efforts to fundraise for his campaign and cover legal fees, especially following a court ruling lowering his bond for bank fraud charges.
With looming financial obligations, including a $175 million bond and a $92 million defamation lawsuit bond, Trump’s sales pitch blends political rhetoric with spiritual appeals, asserting that Christians are facing threats to their values and emphasizing the need to “make America pray again.”
