“America shouldn’t have to choose between the ‘King of Debt’ (as he calls himself) and an 81-year-old,” expressed the underdog presidential candidate Literally Anybody Else on his campaign website.
A Texan is advocating for anyone but the current Democratic and GOP frontrunners to become president, and he’s making a statement by running for office under the name “Literally Anybody Else.”
“Literally Anybody Else” isn’t just a person, it’s a call to action,” stated Else’s campaign website, referring to former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.
Else, a 35-year-old seventh-grade math teacher and US Army veteran, clarified in an interview with Texan news outlet WFAA that his campaign isn’t about winning the presidency.
Instead, he aims to provide an alternative for voters unhappy with Trump’s and Biden’s candidacies, believing people should have a candidate they truly support, not just the lesser of two evils.
Else’s name change has been verified by Tarrant County court records, and he’s determined to offer voters a choice beyond the two major parties, even though getting his name on the ballot in Texas requires a significant number of signatures.
Recognizing the difficulty of his challenge, Else is encouraging voters to write in his name instead, emphasizing the need for an alternative option on the ballot.
While Else faces an uphill battle, he’s not alone in his dissatisfaction with the Biden-Trump rematch, as shown by a Reuters/Ipsos poll indicating widespread discontent with both candidates.
Despite the obstacles, Else remains committed to his cause, hoping to provide a voice for those frustrated with the current political landscape dominated by two parties.
