Binance executive Tigran Gambaryan has taken legal action against the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged violation of his rights.
Gambaryan, represented by lawyer Olujoke Aliyu, seeks various reliefs, including a declaration that his detention and seizure of his passport violate his constitutional rights.
Meanwhile, Nadeem Anjarwalla, Binance’s Africa regional manager, also filed a separate suit for enforcement of his rights.
Both suits call for the release of the executives and a halt to further detention related to Binance investigations.
Despite legal representation withdrawal for Anjarwalla, the court has adjourned the matter to April 8, allowing time for the executives to seek new representation and for the respondents to respond to the allegations.
