Pelumi Nubi, a 28-year-old travel content creator originally from Nigeria and based in the UK, successfully completed her remarkable solo road trip from London, United Kingdom, all the way to Lagos, Nigeria.
Setting off on January 30, Nubi drove her car across several countries to reach her destination.
The news of Nubi’s arrival in Lagos was shared by Gboyega Akosile, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, via a post on social media on Sunday.
Akosile highlighted Nubi’s achievement, announcing that the Lagos State Government warmly welcomed her as a hero.
Upon crossing the Nigeria-Benin Republic border, Nubi was received on behalf of the Lagos State Government by Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and @IdrisConnecting, the Special Adviser on Tourism, Arts and Culture.
The government officials expressed their excitement and congratulated Nubi on her incredible journey with a heartfelt “Welcome home!”
