Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that a date has been set for an Israeli operation in Rafah, the last haven for displaced Palestinians in Gaza, as ceasefire discussions continue in Cairo.
“Today I received a detailed report on the talks in Cairo. We are steadfastly pursuing our objectives, foremost among them the release of all our captives and the complete defeat of Hamas,” Netanyahu stated.
“To achieve this victory, we must enter Rafah and dismantle the terrorist cells operating there. It will happen – a date has been set.”
