The Dunamis International Gospel Centre has issued a clarification regarding an incident involving its senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche, and church member Anyim Veronica Nnenna.
In response to criticism over Pastor Enenche’s actions on Sunday, the church emphasized that the embarrassment caused was not intentional and stemmed from a spontaneous reaction.
The statement, signed by the Secretary to the senior pastor Sylvester Edoh, highlighted that Pastor Enenche’s response was driven by a commitment to excellence and a disdain for falsehood, rather than an intent to publicly shame Ms. Anyim Veronica Nnenna.
The church expressed regret over any inconvenience or hurt caused and reiterated its commitment to Ms. Anyim Veronica Nnenna’s well-being, both physically and spiritually.
Previously, a viral video showed Pastor Enenche questioning a testifier’s claim of being the first graduate in her family.
This led to public outrage over the perceived condescending manner in which Pastor Enenche addressed Anyim, prompting calls for an apology and discussions about emotional intelligence in such situations.
