A house in Minneapolis famously owned by Prince and featured in the film “Purple Rain” is set to become an Airbnb vacation rental. Once considered rundown and in need of repairs, the Purple Rain House has been undergoing renovations and will soon be listed on Airbnb as part of their Icons program.
The Airbnb listing features a photo of the iconic purple basement bedroom seen in Prince’s movie.
Interested guests cannot directly book the property. Instead, they must submit a profile explaining why they want to stay there. Airbnb will then select approximately 4,000 winners throughout the year who can stay for free or for a nominal fee of under $100.
