Seventy passengers aboard a German flight experienced severe vomiting and nausea while flying at over 30,000 feet on Thursday.
The Condor flight was halfway through its 12-hour journey from Mauritius to Frankfurt when passengers began feeling ill, using provided vomit bags and clutching their stomachs.
Upon landing in Frankfurt, emergency personnel were waiting to assist.
An airline spokesperson stated they were unsure of the cause, considering it unusual for so many passengers to fall ill simultaneously.
When asked about the inflight menu’s potential role by German tabloid Bild, the spokesperson declined to speculate, emphasizing an ongoing investigation into the incident.
They confirmed the safe landing and availability of medical professionals to assist affected passengers.
