The Nigerian Government has launched an effort to revise the country’s immigration and visa policy with the goal of improving the ease of doing business within Nigeria.
Speaking at a consultative meeting on Nigeria’s Visa Policy in Abuja on Saturday, Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo emphasized the need to remove barriers that hinder foreign investors and tourists from entering the country.
He underscored the importance of achieving a balance between the principle of reciprocity in visa issuance to foreigners and maximizing economic benefits.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo also highlighted the role of technology in enhancing efficiency and announced that the ministry has developed a workflow that will be presented for review and feedback, aiming to establish a comprehensive solution to facilitate Nigeria’s progress.
