Television personality Judy Sheindlin has taken legal action against Accelerate360 Media, the parent company of the National Enquirer and InTouch Weekly, citing defamation.
Sheindlin, known for her roles on “Judge Judy” and “Judy Justice,” alleges that these publications falsely claimed she was involved in seeking a retrial for the Menendez brothers.
The lawsuit, filed in a Florida circuit court and reported by Entertainment Weekly, states that Sheindlin was shocked by an InTouch Weekly article titled “Inside Judge Judy’s Quest to Save the Menendez Brothers Nearly 35 Years After Their Parents’ Murder,” along with similar pieces in the National Enquirer’s digital and print editions.
