The Lagos State Government has announced the passing of Gboyega Soyannwo, the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Gboyega Soyannwo passed away at the age of 55 after a brief illness, according to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his condolences to the Soyannwo family on behalf of the Government and people of Lagos, stating, “I have lost a brother and a servant of the people,” during an Executive Council (EXCO) meeting where he shared the news.
Following a minute’s silence in honor of the late DCoS, the Governor concluded the EXCO meeting.
Gboyega Soyannwo is survived by a wife and two children.
