Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived in N’Djamena, Chad’s capital city.
Tinubu arrived in the African nation on Thursday morning to attend the inauguration of Mahamat Idriss Deby as Chad’s new President.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, had announced in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja that President Tinubu would be visiting Chad.
Ngelale mentioned that Tinubu would be accompanied by senior government officials and would return after the ceremony.
The inauguration of President Déby follows his victory in the country’s presidential election earlier this month, which was subsequently affirmed by Chad’s Constitutional Court.
