Elon Musk has once again become the world’s richest person, surpassing Bernard Arnault, the French luxury goods magnate.
According to Forbes, Musk’s return to the top was driven by his AI startup xAI raising $6 billion at an $18 billion pre-money valuation over Memorial Day weekend.
As of the market close on Tuesday, Forbes estimates Musk’s net worth at $209.5 billion, $5.2 billion more than Arnault’s $204.3 billion.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is now in third place with an estimated net worth of $200 billion.
