Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will not face each other in a boxing match, at least not on July 20 at AT&T Stadium.
Netflix, which was supposed to stream the event, announced on Friday that the fight has been postponed indefinitely due to Tyson’s recent health issue caused by an ulcer flare-up.
Tyson’s representatives reassured fans that he is recovering well and expressed gratitude for the medical staff’s assistance.
Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions released a statement after Netflix’s announcement, confirming the postponement.
They explained that Tyson needs minimal training for a few weeks to recover fully and that both fighters agreed to postpone to ensure equal training time.
They aim to reschedule the fight for later this year, with a new date to be announced by June 7.
Tyson thanked his fans for their support and expressed confidence in returning to full training soon, vowing to deliver an unforgettable performance.
Paul supported the postponement, emphasizing that he wants to fight Tyson at his best and promised to be ready for an epic match.
