Dolly Parton has announced that her life story will be adapted into a Broadway musical titled “Hello, I’m Dolly – An Original Musical,” set to debut in 2026.
The musical will feature music and lyrics written by Parton herself and will draw inspiration from her remarkable life and career. This marks the first musical production about the iconic country singer.
During the announcement at the CMA Fest in Nashville, Parton revealed that the show will include many original songs as well as fan favorites, promising a blend of laughter, tears, and lively entertainment.
Despite being in the spotlight for decades, the 78-year-old shows no signs of slowing down.
Parton recently achieved three new Guinness World Records for her musical accomplishments, bringing her total to 10 world records.
Her accolades include the longest span of No.1 hits for a female artist on the U.S. Top Country Albums chart, spanning more than 43 years, and the most studio albums released by a female country singer.
Additionally, Parton released her first rock ‘n’ roll album, “Rockstar,” last year, featuring nine original tracks, and published a book, “Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones,” focusing on her iconic fashion sense.
