Rapper Curtis Jackson III, known as 50 Cent, posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring a country version of his hit “In da Club.”
The video included a mock album cover depicting 50 Cent as “Conway Fitty,” dressed in a suit with styled hair. The lyrics remained mostly the same, with an added line about “tight fittin’ jeans.”
50 Cent humorously captioned the post, claiming his upcoming country album would outshine Beyoncé’s work. At the time, his post had garnered 934,000 views.
The original video originated from the Instagram account @there_i_ruined_it, created by musician Dustin Ballard during the pandemic to parody popular songs.
50 Cent’s post referenced Beyoncé’s country album “Cowboy Carter,” released on March 29, which had the biggest opening week of 2024 in the U.S.
Previously, 50 Cent shared a 1950s-style cover of “Window Shopper” from the TikTok account @ai.slaps.
Additionally, 50 Cent recently visited Capitol Hill to support Black entrepreneurs and advocate for greater representation in the alcohol industry, alongside civil rights attorney Ben Crump.
He posted a photo with GOP Representative Lauren Boebert, sparking backlash online.
He responded on X, downplaying the incident and making a humorous reference to past reports of Boebert’s inappropriate behavior at a theater in Denver.
