Back in May, TikTok introduced TikTok Symphony, a creative suite for brands to create AI-generated ads.
On Monday, TikTok unveiled new tools that allow brands to make ads using AI-generated avatars that resemble real people.
These avatars come in two types: “stock avatars,” which use paid actors licensed for commercial use, and “custom avatars,” which represent a creator or brand figurehead.
Brands can select between these avatar types within the creative suite. Consequently, you may notice more AI-generated content on your For You Page (FYP). TikTok, like other major social media platforms, has ways to label AI content to inform users.
Andy Yang, TikTok’s head of creative product, stated that these avatars will help creators expand their opportunities with brands globally. He emphasized TikTok’s goal to enhance the creator economy through innovative solutions that inspire creativity and engagement.
Additionally, TikTok announced new Symphony features, including AI-dubbing, which translates content into over 10 languages and dialects to reach a wider audience. This tool automatically detects the original language, transcribes, translates, and produces dubbed videos in the selected languages.
TikTok is gradually introducing more AI tools, and more developments are expected. Recently, the app has been experimenting with features like ChatGPT-generated search results.
