Security is heightened at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, due to a planned protest against the Commission.
Protesters, using the hashtag #ReformEFCC, are demanding an end to human rights violations, arbitrary arrests, profiling, and assaults by the EFCC.
They emphasize that the protest is not politically motivated and caution against politicizing the event.
“This is a grassroots, peaceful protest aimed at reforming the EFCC for better performance. Anyone attempting to politicize the protest by calling for Tinubu’s removal or an end to APC will be handed over to the police,” @PidomNigeria posted on X.
